Netflix launched a mobile-only plan only for Indian users. We are getting rumours from a while about this. With this mobile-only Plan, Netflix is aiming to compete with other streaming services like Amazon Prime, Hotstar and others.
What you will get in Rs. 199
As it is the mobile-only plan, you can’t cast using this lower plan. Company is testing this plan from a while, and beta testing is running for Rs. 250. After some research, they launched at Rs. 199. Because they have seen that other streaming services available at a lower price. Then they decided to launch this plan at just Rs. 199.
Netflix claimed that they have the highest number of mobile users in India. Mr Ajay Arora (Director at Netflix) said in the launch:-
“Our members in India watch more on their mobiles than members anywhere else in the world – and they love to download our shows and films. We believe this new plan will make Netflix even more accessible and better suit for people who like to watch on their smartphones or tablets – both on the go and at home,”
Netflix Rs. 199. Plan features SD streaming. Even this plan is available for tablets as well. User can download content offline in this Netflix Mobile-only Plan. Now we can expect more growth of Netflix after Netflix Rs. 199 plan.
